Thomas Schladenhauffen, CPP, is an ASIS Certified Protection Professional with over 46 years of experience in security, safety, and environmental health. Following a distinguished 22-year career in law enforcement—where he served as an executive officer—he transitioned into corporate security and safety roles across both publicly traded companies and private organizations.
As a risk management professional, Mr. Schladenhauffen oversaw Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) programs within general industry, construction, and mining operations. His primary focus has been the protection of human assets and the reduction of workplace risk exposure. He achieved measurable success by partnering with senior and mid-level leadership to foster a culture of safety—empowering employees at all levels to take personal responsibility and work collaboratively. This approach led to significant reductions in lost-time injuries and improved operational productivity.
In addition to his corporate and law enforcement background, Mr. Schladenhauffen serves as a DHS/TSA Armed Security Officer (ASO), providing private Air Marshal services for general aviation clients operating into Washington, D.C.’s Reagan National Airport. He also holds a U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner credential as a 100 Gross Ton Master Captain and performs yacht delivery services along the East Coast and throughout the Caribbean.
