Safety at Sea Training
I own a Great Dane 28 named Aracati, and have raced her for the last 20 years along the coast of NH, ME, and MA. Racing is my passion, and I have been fortunate enough to have sailed Antigua Race Week in 2010 on Avocation a Swan 48, and was involved in the delivery of a Support Cat from St. Maartin and back. I've also raced in the Rolex Middle Sea Race in 2014 on Scarlet Oyster a Oyster 48. Raced and delivered an Alerion 28, during the 2011-2019 seasons, from the New England Coast to Marblehead, MA for the NOOD Regattas, and the Paneria Classic Yacht Challenge.
In 2008, I sailed by the Horn, and into the Beagle Channel as crew on board Seal, a 59' Chuck Paine Design Custom Aluminum Cutter. This was a great experience having sailed in the desolate and plagued conditions with wind gusts of 45-70 kts in the Bay of Nassau. I have sailed in the Caribbean in 2009 and 2010, and have gone off-shore on a delivery from the Bahamas to Charleston, SC on a Mariner 38.
